Here in The Netherlands mobile phones are formally banned from classrooms in highschool since Jan 1st this year. My daughter's school has banned them from school all together (at home or in your locker, is the mantra - in Dutch it rhymes) since the start of this school year. On the first Monday they 'confiscated' 30 - on Friday it was down to 1. Kids learn fast!
As always, the Dutch are ahead of us….We have a phone free schools law in CA but it’s not that they can’t have the phones at all, but schools have to limit or ban use in schools.
